Environmental crimes
The Firm has extensive experience in criminal proceedings concerning the effects of manufacturing and industrial activities on the integrity of the environment and collective health. Assistance has been provided to Directors and Managers of Companies owning industrial plants, in relation to the offences involving “Disasters”, “Deliberate Removal or Omission of Safeguards Against Occupational Accidents”, “Poisoning of Water or Foodstuff”, violations of industrial waste water and waste management under Legislative Decree no. 152/2006 (the Environmental Consolidation Act) and, following the reform regarding environmental offences introduced by Law no. 68 dated 22nd May 2015, for offences of “Environmental Pollution” and “Failure to Decontaminate”.
